Placid and peaceful, reliable and loyal, affectionate and loving, the Neapolitan Mastiff makes an excellent addition to any home that has the experience, energy and devotion to match his. Though he is usually quite laid back and not given to aggression, owning this awesome dog is a big responsibility. Improper training, lack of socialization and insufficient exercise could make him unpredictable and even aggressive. He needs an experienced pack leader who will train him firmly but fairly, never heavy handed and will see that his training, socialization and exercise needs are meant for his entire life. Those willing to make this commitment will be rewarded with a friend who offers undying loyalty and love.
