The Chinese Crested is a relatively new breed to North America. The American Kennel Club did not officially recognize it until 1991. Despite its name” Chinese Crested”, it was probably not developed in China but more likely in Africa from the African Hairless Terrier.

The Italian Greyhound
Although Italian Greyhounds are considered toy dogs, they have the temperament and skill of a sight hound. When trained, they make fine sporting dogs who can reach speeds of about 40 miles per hour in quick bursts.
